HYGIENE, GROOMING & UNIFORMS
A major part of our commitment to superior product quality and employee safety depends upon our adherence to high standards of personal hygiene and grooming. This may include wearing a uniform. Your personal appearance is extremely important to the image we strive to present to our customers and to the consumer and should create a lasting, favorable impression. Please always remember that you are a symbol of the Company and of the products we make. Your supervisor will inform you of the standard uniform for your department and your job and will provide you with details during your orientation. Hygiene, grooming, and uniforms are such important subjects that they are included in the Company's work rules.
DRESS CODE
A major part of our commitment to superior product quality and employee safety depends upon our adherence to high standards of personal hygiene and grooming. This may include wearing a uniform. Your personal appearance is extremely important to the image we strive to present to our customers and to the consumer and should create a lasting, favorable impression. Please always remember that you are a symbol of the Company and of the products we make. The Company expects partners to maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance and good hygiene at all times. Hair and beard nets must be worn at all times in the Bakery production areas. Shoes in the production and distribution areas must be closed/steel-toed/composite toed, and nonslip. Watches, jewelry (beyond plain wedding band or approved medical alert bracelet or necklace), fingernail polish or acrylic nails are not allowed on the production floor. Please refer to the Personal Hygiene and Welfare policy for detailed requirements. • Production, Sanitation, Receiving and Shipping partners at the Bakery location will be provided with Company-paid uniforms (shirts, pants and, in some departments, jackets) after completion of their 90-day introductory period. Partners also are expected to wear safety (steel or composite toe/non slip) shoes in good repair throughout all production areas. The Company provides vouchers towards safety shoes annually. Please refer to the Uniform Policy for detailed requirements. • Office partners are allowed to wear casual clothes as long as they are not revealing, are in good repair, and do not contain inappropriate messages or logos. Flip flops are not allowed. Partners who enter production and distribution areas must comply with all GMP standards. A professional appearance is especially important for those who at any time meet clients and current or potential customers. Appropriate business attire is required while traveling for work. Good personal hygiene and a neat appearance are expected of all employees.
• Depot/Distribution Center partners are not required to wear a company issued uniform. Clothing policy-Depot
Partners who report to work in unacceptable attire may be requested to leave work and return in appropriate dress. Such time off from work generally will be without pay.
All fragrances should be kept to a minimum.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) When a job requires partners to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), these articles will be furnished by the Company at no cost to the partner coordinated through Safety. Hearing and eye protection is mandatory for all Bakery production partners whenever on the production floor.
