REPORTING PROCEDURE/EMPLOYEE DUTY TO WARN
In furtherance of this policy, employees have a "duty to warn" their supervisors, security personnel, or Human Resources representatives of any suspicious workplace or work-related activity, situations, or incidents that they observe or know of that involve other employees, former employees, customers, or visitors and that may appear problematic. This also includes any social media activity that you see from other employees that you consider problematic. All reports will be documented and will be investigated accordingly. This would include, for example, threats or acts of violence, aggressive behavior, offensive acts, threatening or offensive comments or remarks, and the like. Employee rep01is made pursuant to this policy will be held in confidence, to the maximum possible extent. The company will not condone any fo1m of retaliation against any employee for making a report in good faith under this policy. The Company has included the following information on potential warning signs of workplace violence. It is your responsibility if you notice any of the signs of trouble to alert your supervisor or your HR representative, through established employee complaint procedures. Our company will apply workplace policies consistently and fairly to all employees, including supervisors and managers. Adequate authority and budgeting resources will be provided so that goals and responsibilities can be met. Our company has implemented this policy in an ongoing effort to reduce the possibility of workplace violence. Management encourages employee participation in this program. All managers and supervisors are responsible for implementing and maintaining our program and for escalating potential workplace violence prevention concerns to the HR Business Partner when the manager or supervisor becomes aware, including from any employee who believes that he or she needs might need assistance under an EAP or other mental health organization.
