Good Manufacturing Practices

1. No Glass allowed in the plant. 2. No jewelry allowed in the plant. The only exceptions to this are a company approved Medical Alert badge / neck chain with medical documentation and wedding bands that contain no jewels. 3. No eating or drinking or Smoking allowed in the plant. Only allowed in break areas provided. 4. No tobacco (including electronic cigarettes), gum chewing or toothpicks allowed. 5. No makeup, false eyelashes or body glitter allowed. 6. Hands are to be washed and sanitized before reporting to or returning to workstation. No fingernail polishes may be worn if the employee works in production or near exposed food products. No False fingernails. 7. Hands are to be washed and sanitized after going to the restroom. 8. Sanitary gloves are required to be used in the wrapping areas. 9. Clean uniforms are to be worn in a proper manner by all employees with shirt tails tucked in and a belt. 12. Employees may wear beards but any employee facial hair of any sort must wear a beard snood or hairnet to cover all facial hair. This must be contained at all times in the cover inside the plant. 13. Hearing protection must be worn by all maintenance, production and sanitation employees in production and wrapping areas. They are not required in the shipping zones. 14. Leather shoes must be worn either solid black or brown, no mixed colors and have slip resistant bottoms. Rubber boots are acceptable for sanitation employees and production employees who work in the mixing areas. 15. Report all “near misses” or unsafe acts to your immediate supervisor. 16. Employees requiring essential personal medicines (i.e., nitroglycerine, asthma inhalers, etc.) may place these items inside their pants pockets and carry them into production areas of the facility. However, unless a Situation is life-threatening, employees should vacate to a breakroom or restroom to administer personal medication. Any other medications (i.e., Tylenol, etc.) must be taken away from production areas. For safety and compliance reasons, employees who require essential personal medicines or medical supplies during work hours must report this to HR. 17. Safety glasses are to be worn at all times when employee is operating an air hose. Safety glasses are provided by management but is the responsibility of the employee to use the glasses and keep up with them. 10. Excessive perfume or aftershave shall not be worn 11. Hairnets to be worn at all times and changed out daily.
