Responsibility of the Employee
It is the responsibility of each employee to ensure their shoes are in good working order and in their possession at the start of each shift. If an employee is found not wearing Safety Shoes while working after the January 1st, 2024 effective date, the employee will be sent home and appropriate discipline will be taken with or without progressive steps.
Employees will only be able to have 1 active shoe deduction at any given time.
Management Responsibility
It is the responsibility of management to ensure all employees are adhering to the Safety Shoe Policy prior to the start of each shift. Employee purchase records and Safety Shoe Store invoices will be maintained by the Environmental Safety and Security Manager. Signed and dated employee Deduction Authorization forms will be forwarded to the appropriate HR department prior to payroll deductions beginning.
