Mesa Employee Handbook
CODE OF CONDUCT
As employees, we are Flowers’ representatives. How we conduct ourselves impacts the company. The company has always followed the highest standards of ethical conduct and expects every employee to do the same. These ethical standards are outlined in the company’s Code of Conduct, which is available from the Human Resources Department.
ETHICS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
If you should ever suspect or have a concern that unethical or illegal activity is occurring within the company – or if you have a concern relating to product safety, integrity, quality, and/or legality - you are encouraged to report the questionable behavior immediately to your
supervisor, your human resources business partner, or to Flowers’ ethics officer. If you wish to remain anonymous, you may call toll free 1.888.337.7524. This number is staffed by an independent company and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The company will take no action against an employee for raising a concern.
SUSTAINABILITY
We have a sustainability program in place to help us take appropriate steps to conserve resources and operate as efficiently as possible. With our employees, business partners, suppliers, and customers, we are working to prevent waste of water, energy, and other resources and to recycle renewable resources. The company asks all employees to be mindful of waste while on the job. Please recycle all paper materials, reduce the amount of paper used by using electronic documents, and remember to turn off lights when leaving your office. You are encouraged to read the company’s sustainability report. The most recent report can be found online at www.flowersfoods.com. Be involved. Make suggestions to better utilize resources. Saving resources saves money.
