If you comply with all applicable legal requirements concerning reinstatement, there will be no waiting period required for reinstatement of company benefits upon your return. The human resources business partner can provide counsel on requirements and rights as requested. FUNERAL LEAVE In the event of a death of an employee's spouse, parent-in-law, or biological, foster, adopted, or step: father, mother, child, brother, sister, grandparent, or grandchild, the company will provide up to 3 consecutive days for the employee to attend the funeral service. This covers travel time and the day of the funeral. If any of the 3 days are scheduled workdays, there will be no reduction in pay from the employee’s regular straight time hourly rate up to a maximum of 8 hours for the scheduled work days missed. Employees will not receive pay for any part of a funeral leave that occurs during previously scheduled or regular time off or a designated holiday or when the employee is absent from work for other reasons. The compensation period for funeral pay will not extend beyond the day after the funeral. The company retains the right to require proof of death, of relationship to deceased, and of attendance at funeral. Funeral pay does not count toward overtime.
MEDICAL COVERAGE
Medical coverage is an important part of your total rewards package. The company provides two medical plans. Both plans allow you to proactively manage your health and help protect you and your family from financial disaster due to health care expenses related to catastrophic illness or accidental injury. The company strives to maintain a comprehensive plan at a reasonable cost. Employee contributory rates cover a small portion of the actual cost of coverage and vary from year to year based upon actual medical claims incurred by the plan. DENTAL COVERAGE
The company offers dental coverage to all eligible employees and their family members to assist with the costs associated with dental care. The dental plan provides coverage for preventative and diagnostic procedures, as well as minor and major restorative procedures and orthodontics. Benefits begin after a waiting period. COBRA AND CONVERSION OF BENEFITS
If you or your covered dependents experience a qualifying loss of coverage, you may be eligible to continue certain benefits through COBRA or other conversion of benefits. These options will be communicated to you upon the loss of coverage.
