LOCKERS & STORAGE POLICY
1. PURPOSE a. This document has been prepared to inform employees of the policies and procedures of Dave’s Killer Bread (DKB) and to establish the company’s expectations. In order to promote the orderly, efficient and safe operation of the company, and provide a pleasant and safe workplace for all the employees, DKB has adopted and will enforce this policy. This document supersedes and replaces any and all personnel policies and manuals previously distributed, made available or applicable to employees. b. The Company may change or terminate any of the published or unpublished personnel policies, practices, or employee benefits, without advance notice. In addition, neither these work rules nor any other communication by any Company representative, written or oral, nor any other conduct of any kind between employees and any Company representative, is intended in any way to create an employment contract, or any other contractual undertaking, binding on either the Company or any employee. 2. EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITY a. It is the responsibility of each employee to read and understand this policy. In case of any questions or concerns at any time about this document, the employee will consult with his immediate supervisor. If the supervisor is unable to address the concern, they will inform HR for further clarification. 3. LOCKERS AND STORAGE POLICY a. Lockers are intended for the storage of employee's personal items, backpacks, purses, and instructional materials. Weapons, knives, pocket knives, box cutters, tools, bread, food, any form of foot wear (shoes, boots, flip flops, etc.), candy and beverages are prohibited in the lockers. b. Lockers and locks are issued by the Human Resources Department. No unauthorized locker assignment is allowed. Employees are advised to keep their lockers locked at all times and not to give the combination to another person. Do not store any valuable items in the locker. DKB is not responsible for missing items. c. Lockers are the property of Dave’s Killer Bread and are subject to random searches. The storage of illegal item(s) that endanger the health, safety, or welfare of others is prohibited. Management may examine lockers at any time during routine inspections or if they have reason to believe that any prohibited items are present. a. Upon termination with the company, the employee, with supervision, will be allowed to clean out their assigned locker.
