ENVIRONMENTAL
Team members must comply with applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws to protect valuable natural resources and local communities. Examples of regulations include air and wastewater pollution as well as the handling and disposal of waste. Training on these requirements will be provided through Alchemy and other online platforms. Your knowledge of and adherence to Flowers’ policies regarding compliance with environmental laws and regulations is mandatory. Failure to meet regulations can lead to violations that may result in serious legal enforcement and disruption of operations. Please report any environmental concerns or potential violations to your supervisor or the SVP of Safety, Environmental & Sustainability.
SUSTAINABILITY
Flowers is committed to applying sustainability processes to all aspects of our business and has company-wide goals to reduce emissions, waste, and water consumption. Additional goals support the use of recycled materials in packaging, recyclable packaging, and RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil)-certified palm oil.
