ISSUING MOBILE DEVICES Issuing Mobile Devices

Determining Mobile Device Users When determining whether a User should be issued a Company mobile device, the following criteria should be considered: • Does the User routinely travel for work related reasons? • Does the User routinely interact via phone, text and email to outside vendors or suppliers? • Does the User routinely interact with subordinates via text? • Does the User routinely interact with other superior or subordinate Users after hours?

If the answer is “no” to the majority of the questions above, the User should not be issued a Company mobile device.

Device Upgrades All Company-issued mobile devices are purchased under a 2 -year contract with the carrier. It is the responsibility of the User to maintain the health of the device. If during the first 2 years of the contract, the device is not functioning at 100%, and it is determined the device needs to be replaced, the User will be provided a “ suitable replacement. ” A “suitable replacement” m ay be a wiped mobile device turned in by a previous User, and not necessarily a new mobile device. After the 2 nd year, all mobile devices will be replaced with a new mobile device. Consult with your SPOC if you believe you need a replacement device.
